It has been a while…

This morning in my morning devotion I became aware that it has been a while since my last post … not because life has been uneventful or that God has not been working in my life or in my heart but just because.

Well, the because is because we were busy … busy living as my Dad was writing his last chapter here on earth.
My Dad was born on October 21st 1942 and went to his eternal reward on August 31st 2026.

So, now we continue to write the chapters in his book … the same way that we continue to write the chapters in Mom’s book who went to her eternal reward on October 21st 2014 … their stories are not ended but continue through us.

I just find it interesting that we begin this as the Sunday Gospels take a turn, a more focused look at coming of God’s kingdom, Christ’s return.

We need to live preparing to meet Christ … not fearful.
We do not know when we will reach our end time, but we should not waste our time trying to figure it out … we should simply waste our time getting prepared as Christ instructed us to do.
